ABOUT THIS RELEASE

PURPOSE

This Patch includes files for use with
NetShield for NetWare. These new files resolve
the outstanding issues listed in the "Resolved
Issues".

RESOLVED ISSUES

1. ISSUE:
The installation of NetShield for NetWare
Deletes the <CR> end-line indicator before
the <LF> end-line indicator in the
AUTOEXEC.NCF file. This causes no harm but
is apparent when viewed with Notepad.

    RESOLUTION:
This patch contains the AXFIX.NLM file
which examines the AUTOEXEC.NCF file and
inserts the <CR> end-line indicator in
front of the <LF> end-line indicator where
    appropriate.

FILES INCLUDED WITH THIS RELEASE

This release consists of a package called
NNW46102.ZIP, which contains the following
files:

    AXFIX.NLM =
NLM used to insert the <CR> character
    before the <LF> character
    PACKING.LST =
    Packing List for Patch files

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

To use this release, you must have NetShield
for NetWare 4.6.1 software installed on the
computer you intend to update with this
release.

    NOTE:
This release does not work with earlier
    versions of NetShield for NetWare
    software.

INSTALLATION STEPS

1. Extract the Patch files from NNW46102.ZIP
to a temporary folder on your hard drive.

2. Copy the AXFIX.NLM from the temporary
folder created in step 1 to the
    SYS:\MCAFEE\NETSHLD directory on the
    server.

3. From the NetWare server console, issue the
    following command:
    LOAD AXFIX.NLM <path to input file>. The
<path to input file> parameter is only
needed if one desires to fix a file other
    than the SYS:\SYSTEM\AUTOEXEC.NCF.

REMOVING THIS RELEASE

To remove this Patch from your computer, delete
the AXFIX.NLM file from your
SYS:\MCAFEE\NETSHLD directory.
