IMPORTANT NOTE

    This Patch requires that you have installed
    ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6. This Patch rolls up
    all the ePolicy Orchestrator-related Security
    Shields Hotfixes since the release of
    SecurityShield RC build. SecurityShield needs
    Patch 2 to be installed.

ABOUT THIS RELEASE


PURPOSE

This patch resolves the issues listed in the
Resolved Issues section.


RESOLVED ISSUES

1. SecurityShield Reports NAP fails to work on
ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6.

2. Filters within the SecurityShield Custom reports
fail to work.

3. HTTP settings are not being saved on the ePolicy
Orchestrator console. The 'Inherited' checkbox
remains checked even after un-checking it, as a
result changes to the HTTP settings are not saved.

4. "Denial of Service" settings do not get displayed
correctly on the SecurityShield Interface on the
ePolicy Orchestrator server nor do they get enforced
onto the SecurityShield Interface on the Client
machine.

5. Hotfixes (Hotfix 214592,Hotfix 236376) do not get
executed on the ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6 server due
to the change in product branding.

This release consists of a package called
SS10EPO36PATCH1.zip, which contains the following
files:

SecurityShield.NAP
      Security Shields NAP file to be checked into
the
      ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6.

ePoPlugin.DLL
      DLL used by the NAP file

ISAPrevInst.dll
      DLL used by the NAP file

SecurityShield_Reports.nap
      Security Shields Report NAP file to be
      checked into the ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6.

README.TXT
      This text file.

VALIDATE.TXT
      Validation codes for this hot fix.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

    To use this release, you must have ePolicy
    Orchestrator 3.6 installed on the computer you
    intend to update with this release. Security
    Shield should have Patch 2 installed on it.

    Note:
    If HotFixes [Hotfix 214592, Hotfix 236376,
    Hotfix 21664] have been applied prior to the
    upgrade of the ePolicy Orchestrator from 3.5 to
    3.6, then the SecurityShield.NAP provided with
    this release need not be checked into ePO
    repository. However the SecurityShield Reports
    NAP file provided with this release will have to
    be checked in.



INSTALLATION STEPS

To install the SecurityShield NAP file, execute the
following steps.

1. If SecurityShield NAP file is already present in
the ePolicy Orchestrator repository, then  keep a backup
of the following files because checking in the new NAP 
file will overwrite them.
-  SecurityShield.NAP
-  ePoPlugin.dll
-  ISAPrevInst.dll

2. Extract the SecurityShield.NAP file from
SS10EPO36PATCH1.ZIP into a temporary folder on your
hard drive.

3. Open ePolicy Orchestrator Console by clicking on
Start->Programs->Mcafee->ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6.0
Console.

4. If Security Shield's NAP file is already checked
into the ePolicy Orchestrator repository, click on
Policy Catalog->Select Security Shield -> Click on
Export Policy  and save the .XML file on your hard
drive. This is to retain the existing policies that
have been applied to the old SecurityShield NAP
file.

5. Click Repository->Managed Products->Windows and
remove the SecurityShield folder. This will remove
the existing NAP file.

6. Close the ePolicy Orchestrator console.

7. Navigate to the installation directory of the
older Security Shields NAP file.
For example
C:\Program files\NetworkAssociates\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Data

8. Delete the MSISA_1000 folder if still present

9. Open ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6 Console.

10. Click Repository->Check in NAP->Add New Software
to be Managed. Select the SecurityShield.NAP file that
has been extracted in Step 2 to the temporary folder
and click Next to install the NAP file.

11. To import the old policies, click Policy Catalog.
Click Import Policy. Select the .XML which had been
saved earlier on the hard drive in Step 4. This will
restore all the earlier policies which were present
on the older SecurityShield.NAP file.


To install the SecurityShield_Reports.NAP file,
execute the following steps.

1. If the SecurityShield_Reports.NAP file is already
present in the ePolicy Orchestrator repository
then keep a Backup of the following file, because
checking in the new NAP file will overwrite them.
-  SecurityShield_Reports.NAP

2. Extract the SecurityShield_Reports.Nap files from
SS10EPO36PATCH1.ZIP into a temporary folder on the
hard drive.

3. Open ePolicy Orchestrator Console by clicking on
Start->Programs->Mcafee->ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6.0
Console.

4. To delete the older Reports NAP, navigate as per
the sequence below. Within the ePolicy Orchestrator
console click "Reporting->Reports Repository" and
delete the SecurityShield folder.

5. Close the ePolicy Orchestrator Console.

6. Navigate to the installation directory of the
older SecurityShield Reports NAP file,
For example
"\Program files\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Reports"
(On a fresh installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6)
                      OR
"\Program files\NetworkAssociates\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Reports"
(On an upgraded installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6 from 3.5)

7. Delete the MSIA_1000 folder.

8. Open ePolicy Orchestrator console.

9. Click on "Repository->Check in NAP->Add new
Reports". Select the NAP file that has been
extracted to the temporary folder in Step 2 and
click Next to install the NAP file.

10. Close the ePolicy Orchestrator console.

11. Navigate to the installation directory of
Security Shield Reports NAP file,
For example

"\Programfiles\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Reports\MSISA_1000\1.0.0\AVI\0409\Reports\"
(On a fresh installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6)
                          OR
"\Program files\NetworkAssociates\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Reports\MSISA_1000\1.0.0\AVI\0409\Reports\"
(On an upgraded installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6 from 3.5)

and make a copy of the SecurityShield folder from
the above location and paste it in the following
location:

"\Programfiles\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\AVI\0409\Reports"
(On a fresh installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6 over an English Operating system)
           OR
"\Program files\NetworkAssociates\ePO\3.6.0\AVI\0409\Reports"
(On an upgraded installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6 from 3.5 over an English operating system)

12. If using this patch on a non-English operating
system you also need to copy the SecurityShield folder to the
following additional folders.

1. "\Programfiles\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\AVI\0409\Reports"and
2. "\Programfiles\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\AVI\<LOCALEID>\Reports"
(On a fresh installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6 over a localized operating system)
                    OR
1. "\Program files\NetworkAssociates\ePO\3.6.0\AVI\0409\Reports"and
2. "\Program files\NetworkAssociates\ePO\3.6.0\AVI\<LOCALEID>\Reports"
(On an upgraded installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6 over a localized operating system)

Note:
<LOCALEID> is the locale identifier value.
For example, a German locale will have the value
0407.



TESTING YOUR INSTALLATION

To check that the right version of the SecurityShield NAP file has
been installed, verify the file version of the
following file, which is resident in the following
path 
c:\ProgramFiles\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\DB\software\MSISA_1000\1.0.0
(In case of a fresh installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6)
                  OR
C:\Program files\NetworkAssociates\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Software\MSISA_1000\1.0.0
(In case of upgrade from ePolicy orchestrator 3.5 to 3.6)

ISAPrevInst.dll      1.0.704



REMOVING THIS RELEASE

We recommend that you do NOT remove these Patch
files
once you have installed them.

To remove the SecurityShields NAP file and revert
back to the original setup, execute the following
steps.

1. Open ePolicy Orchestrator console by clicking on
Start->Programs-> Mcafee->ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6 console.

2. Navigate as per the sequence below, within the
ePolicy Orchestrator console "Repository->Managed Products
->Windows" and delete the Security Shield folder.
This will delete the SecurityShield NAP file.

3. Close the ePolicy Orchestrator console.

4. Navigate to the installed directory of the older
SecurityShield NAP file .
For example
c:\ProgramFiles\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Data
(In case of fresh installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6)
                OR
c:\ProgramFiles\NetworkAssociates\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Data
(In case of upgrade from ePolicy Orchestrator 3.5 to ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6)

5. Delete the  MSISA_1000 folder within that.

6. Open ePolicy Orchestrator console.

7. Click Repository -> Check in Nap -> Add new
Software to be managed. Select the NAP file that had been
backed up earlier, during the installation of the
Patchs SecurityShield NAP file. This NAP file is
the original NAP file before applying the Patch.
Install this NAP file to revert back to the original setup.


8. Log off the ePolicy Orchestrator console and
login again.

To remove the SecurityShields Reports NAP file and
revert back to the original setup, execute the
following steps.

1. Open ePolicy Orchestrator console by clicking on
Start->Programs-> Mcafee->ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6 console.

2. Navigate as per the sequence below, within the
ePolicy Orchestrator console "Reporting -> Reports
Repository and delete the SecurityShield folder. This
will delete the Patchs SecurityShield Reports NAP
file.

3. Close the ePolicy Orchestrator console.

4. Navigate to the installation directory of the
older SecurityShield Reports NAP file,
For example:
"\Program Files\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Reports"
(In case of fresh installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6)
                  OR
"\Program Files\NetworkAssociates\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Reports"
(In case of upgrade from ePolicy Orchestrator 3.5 to 3.6)

5. Delete the MSISA_1000 folder.

6. Open ePolicy Orchestrator console.

7. Click Repository -> Check in NAP -> Add new
Reports.Select the NAP file that had been
Backed up earlier, during the installation of the
SecurityShield_Reports.NAP file. This NAP file is
the Original NAP file before applying the Patchs
SecurityShield_Reports NAP file. Install this NAP
file to revert back to the original setup.

8. Close the ePolicy Orchestrator console.

9. Navigate to the installation directory of the
SecurityShield Reports NAP file,
For example

"\Program Files\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Reports"
(In case of fresh installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6)
                 OR
"\Program Files\NetworkAssociates\ePO\3.6.0\DB\Reports"
(In case of upgrade from ePolicy Orchestrator 3.5 to 3.6)

and make a copy of the SecurityShield folder from
the above location and paste it in the following
location

"\Program Files\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\AVI\0409\Reports"
(Incase of fresh installation of ePolicy Orchestrator 3.6 over an English operating system)
                       OR
"\Program Files\NetworkAssociates\ePO\3.6.0\AVI\0409\Reports"
(Incase of upgrade from ePolicy Orchestrator 3.5 to 3.6 over an English operating system)

10. If using this patch on a non-English operating
system you also need to copy the SecurityShield folder to the
following additional folders.

1. "\Programfiles\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\AVI\0409\Reports"and
2. "\Programfiles\Mcafee\ePO\3.6.0\AVI\<LOCALEID>\Reports"
