IMPORTANT NOTE

    This Patch requires that you have installed
    McAfee SecurityShield 1.0 software. This Patch
    rolls up all the Hotfixes and Patch 1 Since the
    release of SecurityShield RC build.

ABOUT THIS RELEASE


PURPOSE

This Patch 2 resolves the issues listed in the
Resolved Issues section.


RESOLVED ISSUES

1.Crashes for the Talkback dump sent by the
Customers.

2.Streaming media does not work with different types
of media content.

3. Comfort page does not display the download
progress.

4. Appropriate warning message and trademark symbol
are not displayed within the comfort page window.

5. Comfort page would pop up when a delete action
is performed on the yahoo mail web page.

6. Temporary files within the SecurityShield
installation directory are not cleared when a download is
cancelled.

7. Comfort page does not appear for large file
downloads.

8. Unable to connect to some secure sites. For
example www.aol.com.

9. A few links are not available when the
http://dip.bundestag-de web page is displayed.

10.Improper Web page loading or corrupt page
encountered during browsing of certain sites.

11.Large file download fail with the HTTP filter
enabled.

12. ASP/JSP websites are being downloaded when
accessed instead of being loaded.

13. Microsoft Windows update fails to download
certain patches/Service Packs with SecurityShield
installed.

14. Product updates scheduled to run in the month of
march are skipped .

Note: If the Patch 2 is installed on Windows 2003
Server it might not create the Temp folder within
SecurityShields bin folder since the Network
Service does not have "Write" permission to this
folder. Please execute the following steps to give
Network Service Write Permission

 1. Open the Properties page of Security Shields
    bin folder which is usually in C:\Program files\Network
Associates\MacAfee SecurityShield

2.  Click on the Security Tab

3.  Click on Add and type in "Network Service" and
click OK

4.  Check the "full Control" checkbox in the
Permissions block.

5.  Restart the firewall and SecurityShield
services.


KNOWN ISSUES

Sometimes downloads might get cancelled or certain
websites might not load properly if an indirect
Proxy is used.

INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

    To use this release, you must have
    SecurityShield
    1.0  software installed on the computer
    you intend to update with this release.


INSTALLATION STEPS

1.  Close the SecurityShield Interface, if it is
open.

2.  Extract the Patch 2 files from SSH10Patch02.ZIP
into a temporary folder on your hard drive.

3.  Run the file, SS10Patch02.EXE.

Follow the instructions in the wizard. The
program produces a SuperDAT.log file (in the
folder where the Hotfix was executed), which
lists all actions taken.

Note: If the Patch 2 is installed on Windows 2003
Server it might not create the Temp folder within
SecurityShields bin folder because the Network
Service does not have "Write" permission to this
folder. Please execute the following steps to give
Network Service Write Permission.

 1. Open the Properties page of SecurityShields
    bin folder which is usually in C:\Program files\Network
Associates\MacAfee SecurityShield

2.  Click on the Security Tab

3.  Click on Add and type in "Network Service" and
click OK

4.  Check the "full Control" checkbox in the
Permissions block.

5.  Restart the firewall and SecurityShield
services.



TESTING YOUR INSTALLATION

To check that the Patch 2 is applied correctly,
verify the file version of the following file,
which is resident in the SecurityShield and Microsoft ISA
servers directory:

1. For installation on Microsoft ISA Server 2000

ISAFILTER.DLL             1.0.702
McProxy.Dll               1.0.702
Strings.dll               1.0.702
WSISAPerfMonCounters.dll  1.0.702

For installation on Microsoft ISA Server 2004

ISA2K4FILTER.DLL          1.0.702
Mc2K4Proxy.dll            1.0.702
Strings.dll               1.0.702
WSISAPerfMonCounters.dll  1.0.702



REMOVING THIS RELEASE

We recommend that you do NOT remove these HotFix
files once you have installed them.

To remove the Hotfix files and revert back to
the original setup, execute the following steps.

1.  Close the SecurityShield Interface, if it is
open.

2.  Open services console by clicking on
Start->Programs->Administrative Tools->Services.

3.  Stop the following services

"MacAfee SecurityShield"
"Microsoft ISA Server Control"

4.  Use Windows Explorer to open the
installation directory of SecurityShield. This is
usually c:\Program Files\Network
Associates\McafeeSecurityShield\bin.

5.  Rename the current
ISAFilter.dll to ISAFilter.dll-old (In case of ISA
2000)

ISA2K4Filter.dll to ISA2K4filter.dll-old( In case
of
ISA 2004)

Strings.dll to strings.dll-old

WSISAPerMonCounters.dll to
WSISAPerfMonCounters.dll-old.

6.  Use Windows Explorer to open the
installation directory of Microsoft ISA server.
This is usually c:\Program Files\Microsoft ISA server

5.  Rename the current

McProxy.dll to McProxy-old (In case of ISA
2000)

McProxy2K4.dll to McProxy2K4.dll-old(In case of
ISA 2004)

6. Copy IsaFilter.dll,Strings.dll,WSISAPerfMonCounters.dll
      (Incase of Microsoft ISA 2000)

Isa2K4Filter.dll,Strings.dll,WSISAPerfMonCounters.dll
      (Incase of Microsoft ISA 2004)

which was backed up during the
installation of the Patch 2 and stored at
c:\Program Files\Network
Associates\McAfeeSecurityShield\bin\Backup_Patch02)
to bin folder.

7. Copy
McProxy.dll  (Incase of Microsoft ISA 2000)

Mc2K4Proxy.dll (Incase of Microsoft ISA 2004)

which was backed up during the
installation of the Patch 2 and stored at
c:\Program Files\Network
Associates\McAfeeSecurityShield\bin\Backup_Patch02)
to the Microsoft ISA servers Installation folder. This
is usually C:\Program files\Microsoft ISA server.


8.  Start the following services

"Microsoft Firewall"
"Microsoft Web Proxy"
"MacAfee SecurityShield"
